How do I add an overlay to OBS?
Copy the link from the editor, then in OBS click Sources → + → Browser, paste the link into the URL field and set the size shown below the preview.
Are the overlays free?
Yes. All overlays on overlays.vxh.pl are free, with no sign-up, no watermark and no limits.
Does it work in Streamlabs, Meld and TikTok Live Studio?
Yes, in any app that has a browser source (Browser Source): OBS Studio, Streamlabs Desktop, Meld Studio, XSplit and TikTok Live Studio.
Where are my settings saved?
All settings are stored in the OBS link itself. You can also save them under a name in the "Saved" tab, but that copy lives only in this browser's storage (localStorage). It won't be there on another computer, which is why the VXH1- share code exists for moving settings around.
Does the overlay slow down my computer?
Effects are drawn on a single canvas or in CSS and run smoothly in OBS. If your computer is on the slower side, lower the "Amount" slider or the source size.
How do I move my settings to another computer?
In the "Share / import" tab, copy the VXH1- code and paste it on the other computer. You can also copy the "Edit link".
Can I share my overlay with a friend?
Yes. Send them the share code or the edit link. They'll see exactly your settings and can change them on their end.
What languages is the studio available in?
Polish, English, German, Czech, Spanish, French, Portuguese, Russian, Turkish and Ukrainian. Change the language in the top right corner.
How do I make a pre-stream countdown in OBS?
Select the "Starting soon" screen, in the "Countdown" section set "Minutes" or "Until a set time", copy the link and add it in OBS as a 1920×1080 Browser source.
What is a BRB screen?
BRB stands for "be right back". It's the scene viewers see while you take a break during a stream.
What should a stream ending screen show?
A thank-you, the next stream time, links to your Discord and other channels, plus chat so viewers can say goodbye.
How do I add snow to my stream in OBS?
Set up how the snow looks, copy the link and add it in OBS as a 1920×1080 Browser source above your other layers.
Does the rain cover the game?
The drops are semi-transparent. Opacity and amount have their own sliders, so it's easy to find an effect that doesn't get in the way.
How do I make a confetti burst on stream?
Set the mode to "Burst from bottom" and choose the gap between bursts. You can also enable the source in OBS only when you want to celebrate.
Can I use my own emoji?
Yes, type them into the "Emoji" field. System emoji look the same in OBS as they do in Windows.
How do I change the firefly color?
Choose a color in the settings. Warm yellow looks natural, while green or purple suits Halloween.
How do I make autumn leaves?
Choose the "Leaf" shape and set the colors, e.g. orange, red and brown.
Do the fireworks leave trails on screen?
Sparks have short trails that fade on their own. The background stays transparent the whole time.
How do I make a hyperspace effect?
Choose "Warp" mode and increase the speed.
Does the grain slow down OBS?
The noise is generated at a low resolution and refreshed 24 times per second, so the load is minimal.
How do I fit the frame to my webcam in OBS?
In OBS, set the source to the same size as your webcam, place the frame over it and adjust the margin in the settings if needed.
Do the corners cover my face?
No, only the corners are drawn. The middle of your webcam stays clear.
Can I use accented and special characters?
Yes, the name and caption support accented characters and emoji.
How do I make a Christmas webcam frame?
Select "Holiday frames", set the occasion to "Christmas", copy the link and add it in OBS as a Browser source sized to your webcam.
How do I make scrolling text in OBS without plugins?
Type your messages into "Scrolling ticker", copy the link and add it as a 1920×64 Browser source. No OBS scroll filter needed.
